LGF has a mind-blowing post (with audio) of Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) telling a crowd his conspiracy theory of how: Karl Rove secretly created bogus Bush draft memos which he apparently provided to known Bush-hater and Democratic activist Bill Burkett, who in turn was duped into not realizing the documents were obvious fakes and who then gave the documents to known Bush-haters Mary Mapes and Dan Rather, who in turn were duped into not realizing the documents were obvious fakes and who in turn aired the story, which eventually blew up in CBS's face.

Got that? And this exemplary display of critical reasoning is from a United States Congressman.
